Matisse Chocolatier of Englewood, Bergen County, New Jersey is pleased to announce the opening of the Matisse Chocolate Academy, offering professional chocolate making classes for anyone who wishes to create homemade chocolate while expanding your culinary horizons.

Matisse Chocolatier has been an established business presence in Englewood New Jersey for the past 23 years. The present owners, Lucille and Vlado Skroce, both of whom have an unequaled passion for chocolate, purchased the business in 1995.The Skroce’s have expanded the business to include chocolate dipped fruit platters, chocolate gift baskets, chocolate party favors for virtually every occasion, specialty chocolate gifts, as well as a party room for both children’s and adult’s parties with a chocolate theme (of course!).

Now, professional chocolate making classes are being added to this well established and growing business located conveniently in Northern New Jersey, close to both New York City and Connecticut.

Matisse Chocolatier is excited to introduce you to our new partner, Ayelet Nathaniel. Ayelet is a professionally trained pastry chef as well as a professional chocolatier.

In 2002 Ms. Nathaniel graduated with honors from the Tadmor Culinary Institute. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and behavioral science.

Our distinguished partner has creative culinary experience you are sure to benefit from. In 2007, Ms. Nathaniel worked for another local New Jersey chocolatier and created her own recipes for truffles, chocolate nut clusters, chocolate covered fruits and many more irresistible delicacies. She has also had experience in teaching creative food classes for both groups as well as individuals, with the goal being to share the love of chocolate with as many people as possible!

Basic Professional Chocolate Making ~ learn how to temper chocolate, learn about differnt types of chocolate, explore chocolate history and make 1 pound of your own clusters to take home and enjoy.

Cost ~ $79.95 plus $19.95 for supplies and ingredients ~ Total for Basic Professional Chocolate Making Class: $99.90

Advanced Professional Chocolate Making ~ learn how to make mouthwatering truffles!  This class requires the basic chocolate making knowledge gained from the basic chocolate making class with additional professional training to make the fillings and the complete truffle. Your truffles are yours to take home and enjoy!

Cost ~ $99.95 plus $29.95 for supplies and ingredients ~ Total for Advanced Professional Chocolate Making Class: $129.90
